Miriam L. Jupp's Obituary
Born in Mexico City in 1928, Miriam learned to speak Spanish and developed a love of the Mexican people and culture. She went to high school and college in the United States and met her future husband, Dan Jupp, in Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina. After retiring from that position, she became a docent at The San Diego Museum of Art and the Mingei Museum in Balboa Park, spending many hours studying the artworks and preparing tours to present to the public. She traveled extensively in Europe and South East Asia, focusing on art museums and traditional folk art. She has been a parishioner of St. Mary Church since 1962.
She is survived by her three children: Christopher, Sophie and Cassandra; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and her younger brother, Philip M. Reilly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, and her older brother, John G. Reilly.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Church in Escondido at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 17.
