Mike G. Vargas, a long time Escondido resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. He was born on September 29, 1913 in Lordsburg, N.M. Mr. Vargas is survived by children, Mike Vargas Jr. (Carolyn), Victoria Vargas Parker (Will), Louie Vargas (Deneica), Gary Vargas and Roya Reece; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Luis and Nicolasa Varg In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mike's name to the Elizabeth Hospice Foundation at www.elizabethhospice.org.
