Mike James McHale's Obituary
Michael James McHale, Mike, was born in San Diego on April 30, 1951, to James McHale and Dorothy Ellen McHale. He passed away December 13, 2014 in Escondido. Hi love of the ocean began by being raised on his Grandfathers sport fishing charter boats in San Diego. He moved with his family to Escondido in 1968 where he met his high school sweetheart Melody Campbell. They married in 1971 and settled in Escondido to raise their two children, Marla and Matt. Mike loved the ocean and spent many weekends fishing on his boat sharing his love of it with family and friends. Mike also loved camping, water-skiing, playing card games and coaching soccer. You could often find him running up and down the sidelines yelling whether it was the soccer field, football field or motorcycle track. He always made sure that every weekend was full of fun activities enjoyed with friends and family. He loved to tease his family and friends, and could make you laugh with his hilarious stories. He especially loved to turn up the music really loud all the time and dance around the house. He enjoyed wood working and welding and teaching others how to design and make projects. He loved to tinker and could fix almost everything.
He treasured his time spent with this grandchildren, Morea, Mikaile, Brock and Rylee. He would always have treats for them like pickles, cookies, big sticks, Oreo's and donuts. He loved to build them toys, furniture, and even their own toll boxes.
