Michael Allan Bedwell's Obituary
Mr. Bedwell is survived by his wife, Carleen; sons, Allan and Patrick; daughter-in-law Joanne; granddaughters, Madeline and Isabel. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant (j.g) in the US Navy in 1954. He served as a communications officer on the island of Guam and at China Lake Naval Weapons Center. He attended Orange Glen Grammer School and Escondido Union High School, graduating in 1948. He graduated from Pomona College in 1952, and attended Claremont Men's College. He was born in Lone Pine, California, the only child of Laura and Allan Bedwell. In 1934 the family moved to rural Escondido, where they grew avocados and citrus. His parents continued to live at "the Ranch" until their deaths in 1959 and 1978.
