Matthew Jack Jimenez's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Matthew "Matt" Jimenez
Matthew Jimenez, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at the age of 19. He was born on July 13th, 2006, in San Francisco, CA, to his devoted parents, Angel and Blanca Jimenez. Matt was the youngest of five sons, and his family meant everything to him.
A graduate of San Pasqual High School Class of 2024, Matt touched the hearts of all who knew him. His friends, teachers, and staff adored him, with the school custodian fondly recalling how Matt always helped him whenever he could. Matt had a way of lighting up every room he entered, his smile and laughter could brighten even the darkest of days. No matter the situation, he would find a way to make you feel like you’d just met your new best friend.
His kindness and generosity were unmatched. Matt often chose to collect cases of bottled water for his birthday, which he would personally distribute to people in need throughout Escondido. He went out of his way to help others, whether it was carrying groceries for elderly women or simply taking the time to make someone's day a little better. Matt’s heart was as big as his smile, and his selfless spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He worked at Deck Coating Specialists in San Diego and found joy in connecting with the local truck meet community in San Diego. Those who knew Matt were drawn not just to his genuine nature but also to his ability to make everyone feel special.
Matt is survived by his loving parents, Angel and Blanca Jimenez; his grandmother, Maria De Bella; his brothers, Angel, Steven, Ryan, and Luke; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends who were like family to him.
Matt’s ashes will be laid to rest forever at peace on the Sea of Cortez, in San Felipe.
