Mary Fogarty's Obituary
Mary Fogarty (Ring) 95 of Escondido, California passed away April 20, 2026 at her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas, and son, Thomas Jr. Born on August 23, 1930 in Mallow, Co. Cork, Ireland, she immigrated to the United States in 1953 where she met Tom. Married for 48 years, together, they raised a family and operated several successful businesses. Mary lived in Escondido for the past 38 years. A devout Catholic, her deep faith was anchored in her love and devotion to the Blessed Mother with a lifelong habit of praying the Rosary. She was an active member of Resurrection Church, a member of the Legion of Mary - serving as Secretary and Vice President, a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and host of a weekly Canton prayer group in her home.
Mrs. Fogarty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John Christopher and Cheryl Fogarty of Escondido; daughters and sons-in-law Ellen Christine and Brett Miller of Fresno and Kathleen Therese and David Carlson of Escondido; grandchildren Connor and Hannah Miller and Shannon Rodriguez Zarate (Carlson); brother Edward Ring of Chicago, IL and sister Eileen Arnett of Escondido.
Visitation and viewing are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 12 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Alhiser-Comer, 225 S. Broadway, Escondido.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Resurrection Church, 1445 Conway Drive, Escondido. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Eduardo Bernardino officiating both.
