Mary Flores Enriquez's Obituary
San Marcos – Mary Flores Enriquez, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home. She was born on September 12, 1931 to Jennie and Pedro Flores in Camarillo, CA. She was married to Rudolph Enriquez for 25 years and had 6 sons. She received her high school diploma from Sweetwater High School. At SDSU she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (1971) and a Teaching Credential (1972). She taught at Felicita Elementary School in Escondido for 22 years. She received a Master’s Degree in Counseling (1997) from Trinity College of Graduate Studies, and then went on to become a family counselor.
Throughout her life Mary enjoyed music, dancing, camping, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. In retirement she enjoyed traveling, writing and exploring new interests. In her later years she lived independently with her faith in God and love in Jesus as her Lord Savior.
Mary is survived by her 5 sons, Rudi, David, Paul, Jeff and Jacob; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Sparano, Ysabel and Emily Enriquez; and her sisters, Nellie Orton, and Margaret (Juan) Romero.
