Mary "Tiny" Arviso's Obituary
Mary Leona “Tiny” Arviso, 89, died Monday, November 27, 2017, at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, California.
Born May 27, 1928 in Escondido, she lived most of her life on the Rincon Indian Reservation. She retired after 25 years as a laundry supervisor at Camp Pendleton. Tiny also served numerous years as the Mesa Grande Tribal Enrollment Chairperson. Tiny was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward P. Arviso; mother, Pauline Alto and fathers, Amablo Arres and Sosten Alto; sons, Edward T. Arviso and Reginald Arviso and brother, Leonard Alto and granddaughter, Leandra Arviso.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law George and Milonny Arviso, Richard M. Arviso, Pamela Arviso, daughter Naomi Arviso; sisters Maxine Arviso and Laura Guidry; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. and rosary recited at 7 pm., Friday, December 8th, at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church, 5411 Mazzetti Lane on the Rincon Indian Reservation.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 9th, at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church with Rev. Reynaldo Manahan officiating.
Burial will follow at Rincon Tribal Cemetery. Alhiser-Comer is handling arrangements.
