Marshall Lee Lowery, Jr.'s Obituary
Marshall "Lee" Lowery, Jr. passed away May 6, 2012. He was born June 8, 1923 in Shenandoah, Iowa.
Lee graduated from La Jolla High School in 1941. He served in the US Army, Signal Corps from 1943 to 1946, and the US Air Force from 1950 to 1952 He worked for Western Electric, AT&T and Pacific Telephone and Telegraph. He retired in 1982 as a Senior Engineer. Lee was a volunteer for over 25 years at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park. He was a self taught machinist who loved working at the museum restoring antique aircraft. Later in life, he found great joy in sailing. Lee was a lifelong learner, spending much of his time reading and learning new things. He was a quiet but loving husband, father, and grandfather. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Lee Lowery.
