Mario is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maria; children, Tony, Tina, Phyllis, Rita, and Carl; son-in-law, Dennis Vanrumund; daughters-in-law, Melody and Sylvia; 11 grandchildren; brother, Alfred; many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mario was born in Melilli, Sicily, and served in the Italian Military. After getting married, he emigrated to Middletown, Conn., and worked at the International Silver Co., and Fafnir Berring Co. as a Machinist. He retired in 1991 and moved to Escondido. He loved music and played multiple instruments. He had a great passion for photography, fishing and gardening.
