She is survived by her husband, Pedro H. Trevino; her mother, Ascencion S. Tagle; her son, Peter T. Trevino; her daughters, Eva Difilia "Sheila" (Wenceslao) DeLaMora, Ida (Leobardo) Mendez, Elizabeth Trevino; her grandchildren, Alicia Cortez, Sarah I. Mendez, Evalinda Cortez, Michael J. Mendez, Wences T. DeLaMora, Peter C. Trevino, Timothy P. Trevino, Alejandro L. Trevino, and Nilo T. DeLaMora; her brothers, Filiberto (Maria), Fidel (Diana) S. Ramon (Mary) C., Manuel (Eliza) G., Fernando (Eva), and Felix (Sylvia) Tagle; her sisters, Guadalupe T. Morales, Ermalinda (Carlos) T. Salazar, Olivia (Ernesto) T. Rendon, Florinda (David) T. Cisneros. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her father, Claudio Tagle; and her brother, Federico Tagle. Maria was born in Robstown, Texas to Claudio and Ascencion Tagle. She helped her mother raise her 11 siblings. On April 12, 1959, Maria married Pedro H. Trevino. In 1964, they moved to Escondido with their three daughters and had a son shortly after. To say she was an extaordinary woman would be an understatement, as she as she was pure grace, class and beauty. Her smile touched every person she knew and changed them for the better. Her tremendous faith and endless love live on in her family today.
