Margie Ellen Reilley's Obituary
Margie Ellen Reilley, 64, passed away from brain cancer at her home on 22 July, 2012.
She was born in Rochester, New York on August 7, 1947 to Marjorie and Lawrence Dorn. She spent all of her childhood in Webster, New York, attending Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School and graduating from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1965.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education in 1973 from Long Beach State University. She had two children, Richelle and Richard, after marrying Robert Stump in 1972. She married a second time in 1986 to Michael Reilley and became mom and step-mom to a mixed family raising five children. She held various jobs as a bookkeeper in car dealerships and mobile home dealerships in Escondido, CA and San Marcos, CA. She taught elementary school physical education at St. Mary’s School in Escondido, CA from 1987 to 1990. She played “girls basketball†in high school as a point guard with unusually strong dribbling skills and speed. She developed an interest in playing ladies softball in 1973 when she moved to Escondido where she was able to get on a ladies fast pitch She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Larry. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Reilley; her daughter Richelle Aarons (husband Adam, children Andrew, Ashlyn, and Reese); her son Richard Stump (wife Nicole, son Sha Perhaps the highlight of her life was being able to live in Hawaii for three years. She absolutely loved living there. She formed close friendships while there, spending her days swimming, biking, hiking, and snorkeling. After her husband retired, she In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the National MS Society - Pacific South Coast Chapter.
