Margaret Beatrice Noneman's Obituary
On Monday, December 3, 2018, surrounded by her family, Margaret (“Marge”) Beatrice Noneman, was called home to eternity in heaven.
Born in San Antonio, Texas on March 31, 1929 to Fanny (Dikes) and Walter Leroy Harris. She lived and traveled with her mother until returning to Texas when she was 16 following her mother’s death. After graduation, she set off again for the west coast where she eventually met her soulmate and lifelong dance partner, Edward Noneman, and fell forever in love.
On July 27, 1957, Marge and Ed were married. That day, she also became a mother to Nancy (now Nichols). Together they had two sons, Mark and John, and built their home with lots of love and hard work in Woodland Hills, CA. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Marge was an active member and volunteer for the Mary Duque Guild of the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. A lifelong learner, Marge studied a variety of topics from acting to hypnosis and won many awards as an amateur competitive ballroom dancer. In 2005, Marge and Ed moved to Escondido, CA to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Marge lived her life to the fullest. She traveled the world with Ed and her family and especially loved the islands of Hawaii. She had a contagious smile and a spark of mischief in her eye. She could wrap her arms around you and make you feel so very loved. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her until the day we meet again in our heavenly home with Jesus, our Savior.
Marge is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Edward Emil Noneman; her children and their spouses, Nancy and Ed Nichols of Phoenix, AZ; Mark and Sharon Noneman of San Antonio, TX; John and Nancy Noneman of Valley Center, California; and her 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons. She is also survived by her half-sister, Joyce DeLoach of Pasadena, TX
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fanny Harris and Walter Leroy Harris, her step-mother Jewel Spangler, and her half-brother, Leroy Harris.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:30 AM at New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that your gifts of remembrance be donations in her memory made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
