Margaret Mara's Obituary
Marge was preceded in death by her son, Val Van Nuys; her grandson, Albert Smith; and four brothers, Glen, Burl, Lloyd, and Harold. She is survived by her husband, George Mara; her daughters, Anna Mae (Gordon) Smith, and Sandra Lilly; fve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and many, many loving friends. Marge was a 30-year grocery checker in the Los Angeles area and a 23-year resident of Escondido. She was a member of the Auxiliaries of American Legion, Post 149 (to whom her husband, George, is deeply indebted to, for their assistance and compassion), In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations go to American Legion Auxilary, 230 Park Ave. or the Elizabeth Hospice on Crest Ave., Escondido.
