Margaret Amago's Obituary
Sarah Margaret Whitworth Amago, 85, La Jolla Indian Reservation, CA, departed from this life to her eternal home on Friday, June 07, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 03, 1939 in Houston, MS, to the late Sam Whitworth and Birdie Hollis Whitworth. Margaret's life was dedicated to caring for her family as a devoted homemaker and loving mother. In 1985, she married her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Amago. She found happiness in the simple things in life, such as cooking, tending to her garden and flowers, and above all, spending time with her loved ones. Although she has departed from our presence, she has gone to rest in a place free of sickness and pain where she is probably planting a garden or tending to flowers. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Ernie Amago of La Jolla Indian Reservation, CA; two daughters: Tina White Hughes of Coffeeville, MS; Debbie White of Calhoun City, MS; two sons: Mike (Rachel) White of Huntsville, TX; Donnie Amago of La jolla Indian Reservation, CA; sister, Jamie (Marshall) Jones of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Margaret also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Whitworth and Birdie Hollis Whitworth. The family would like to thank Elizabeth Hospice for their compassion and care for Margaret. There will be a viewing June 21, 2024, 4 PM – 8 PM, Alhiser Comer Mortuary, Escondido, CA. Graveside burial, Saturday June 22nd. at 10 AM
