Manrique Guzman Quinto M.D.'s Obituary
Manrique Guzman Quinto, M.D. passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018 in San Diego, California.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Cregan, his daughters, Cynthia Pierce, Dallas, Texas and Susan Quinto (Chris Kilmer), Apalachin, New York. Grandchildren, Kyle Mieczkowski, Emma Kilmer and Conor Pierce. Brothers Eduardo (Moleng) and Esteban (Rose), Manila, Philippines, Sister, Rosalinda (Roy) Bringas, Chino, California. Brothers in law, Tim ( Sherry) Cregan, Vestal, NY, Edward (Tina)Cregan, Rochester, NY, Sister in Law, Ellen Cregan ( David); Houston, Texas, Jane Knobel (Steven), Manhattan, Montana. Also numerous nieces and nephews both here and in the Philippines.
Dr. Quinto was born on January 10, 1934 in Tuguegarao, Philippines. He attended University of Santo Thomas and graduated with a medical degree in 1957. He came to Baltimore, Maryland and did internship and residency at Union Memorial. He did a fellowship in Hematology at Washington Children’s Hospital.
He came to Binghamton, New York and had a very successful Pediatric practice for over fifty years.
Mass and Burial will be in San Diego, California on April 19, 2018 at Holy Cross Cemetery. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Kampai Restaurant, Vestal, New York on Sunday, April 22 from 2-4.
