Major General Marc Anthony Moore's Obituary
Marc Anthony Moore, Major General, United States Marine Corps (Retired) passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his Escondido home. General Moore was born on July 15, 1928 in Dallas, Texas. He earned a B.A. in English from Southern Methodist University and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration at the George Washington University Marc married Mary Donahue on September 5, 1953. He served two tours each in the Korean and Vietnamese conflicts. During his military career, he commanded every size Marine unit, from a rifle platoon of 40 people to a division of 25,000. He headed the M Since 1982, General Moore has participated as a member of American delegations to conferences in the Soviet Union, China, and Northeast Asia as a specialist in international security affairs, and has authored a number of published articles in strategy, le He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Daniel Moore (Monica); daughters, Mary Ellen Razavi, Virginia Cylkowski (Tom), Andi Shibata; and seven grandchildren.
