Lynn Marie Jurges' Obituary
Lynn Marie Jurges (née Larson) passed away quietly among family December 17, 2023, in Escondido, CA after a prolonged illness. She was 73 years old. Lynn had a passion for life and was always caring and attentive to her family and friends. Lynn will be remembered for her kind heart and her keenness to listen. She never missed a birthday and was genuinely interested in the events in our lives.
Lynn was born March 4, 1950, to William R. and Patricia E. Larson at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, IL. She attended St. Thomas More Elementary School and Mother McAuley High School in Chicago and earned a bachelor’s degree at Northern Illinois University. While attending NIU, Lynn met her future husband, Art Jurges and they were married in Illinois on September 13, 1975. They are the parents of two sons, Anthony and Christopher.
Lynn and her family moved to the San Diego area in 1982 where she was recognized for her work in real estate. She also volunteered her time at a local church and school. An involved mom, Lynn was deeply devoted to raising her family. She is survived by her husband Art, sons Anthony and Christopher (Veronica), grandchildren Avery, Blake, Ayden, and Preston, her brothers Edward (Sherry), Daniel (Devera), William (Michelle), and sister Donna (Ken) O’Brien. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and sister Karen (Larson) Taylor.
Lynn cared deeply for her family and friends and was loved by them all. She will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life service for Lynn is planned for the Spring in the San Diego area. Lynn’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, a charitable donation be made to Rady’s Children Foundation or the American Stroke Foundation.
