Lucille Ruth Henderson's Obituary
Lucille Ruth Henderson entered heavens gates on April 18, 2017. Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William (Bill) Henderson and their children Karen, Pam, Dennis and Curtis, as well as preceded by her son Doug in 2003. She has 2 living siblings Gerald and Glen as well as 3 deceased siblings Bernadine, Luella and Gertrude. She has 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Lucille was born and raised in Escondido and graduated from Escondido High School in 1952. For the past 39 years Lucille and Bill lived in Valley Center. Lucille was a hard-working loyal employee of SDG&E for 31+ years. They both retired in 1994 and traveled by RV to every state in the continental United States with the exception of Alaska. They also traveled to Hawaii and England.
She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved going to church every Sunday and was very active at her home church of Valley Center Community Church. She loved all the people of her church dearly. Her two greatest passions were the Lord & Savior and her family.
Rest in Peace. Heaven is truly receiving the most beautiful angel!
Services will be held on May 13, 2017 at 11am at Valley Center Community Church, 29105 Valley Center Road, Valley Center, CA 92082.
