Lucie Truderung's Obituary
Lucie Brokop was born in Germany to Michael and Adolfine Brokop, and moved to Cleveland, Ohio at age 19 where she met her husband of 58 years, Rudy. Lucie was a faithful church goer, Sunday School kindergarten teacher, and was a friend and confidant to everyone she met. She always just wanted to be a Mom. Lucie spent her last 24 years in California, visiting the ill, knitting, volunteering at a pregnancy care center, walking at the water’s edge, and enjoying the palm trees she loved.
Lucie was preceded in death by her husband Rudolf Truderung and is survived by her brother Helmut Brokop, children Virginia, Bob (Valorie), and Rita Truderung, grandchildren Jennifer Brewer and Rebecca Truderung, and great grandson Damien Lord. Memorial donations should be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Poway, CA.
