Louis A. Wingo Sr.,'s Obituary
Louis A. Wingo Sr., 88, passed away at his Escondido home on Monday, December 10, 2012. Louis was born on July 9, 1924 in Shawnee, OK. During WW II he served as an A20 tailgunner in the 46th Bomber Group of the Army Air Corp. He married Norma Woodliff on May 8, 1946. Mr. Wingo was a building contractor in Escondido and owned Wingo Construction for more than 50 years. He built his house in the San Pasqual Valley where his family still lives today. After his retirement he built and operated ABC Storage in Grand Junction, CO. Louis loved hunting and fishing and working on his collection of 65 Mustangs. Mr. Wingo enjoyed life by loving the Lord and his family. He was a good husband, father and provide He is survived by wife, Norma Wingo; children, Shirley Wingo, Sharon Wingo, Louis Wingo Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws; 1 brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Larry Wingo in 2007. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in Louis’s name to the Gideons International, www.gideons.org.
