Louis Statile's Obituary
Lou is survived by his loving son, William; together with seven brothers and sisters; and over 20 nieces and nephews. His loving wife, Jane, predeceased him by 55 weeks. Lou was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of simple Italian immigrants. He was one of a family of 11 children. He knew Frank Sinatra while in New Jersey as a young man, and often went to see Sinatra perform when he was part of the Hoboken Four gr Upon retirement, and with his wife's encouragement, Louie became quite active in many community and Church affairs. He was the main chef for all large scale Bingo dinners and other fund-raising activities at his church. He and his wife were major donors Louis also was active in his son's Alma Mater, UCLA, and made frequent trips to the UCLA campus and the Rose Bowl. Together with his wife Jane, he arranged for a memorial brick in his family's name, to be permanently displayed at the UCLA Alumni Center. In Lieu of flowers, Lou's family is suggesting that donations be made in his memory to "Church of the Resurrection Building Fund," 1445 Conway Dr., Escondido CA 92026.
