Leslie Day “Jonesy†Jones, born November 4, 1921 in Shelby County, Missouri to Samuel P. and Minnie Day Jones went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Escondido. He is survived by son, Timothy (Ruthie) Jones; daughter, Alesia (Jim) Addesso; brother, Perry; sister, Dora Marie; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn K. (McGuffey) Jones. Jonesy served in the Marine Corps from 1942 – 1945 in New Caledonia (So. Pacific) and El Centro, CA. Mr. Jones worked 37 years as an electrician in the Imperial Valley.
