Leo Joseph Brewster's Obituary
Leo is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amy Brewster and Jeff Parrott; granddaughters, Laura, Kate and Michelle Parrott; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Millie, who passed away 50 days earlier. Leo was educated in Dayton, Ohio, and graduated from the American Institute of Banking. He worked in the banking profession for almost 20 years, and in 1954, served as President of the Dayton Chapter of the American Institute of Banking. In 1945, he founded, and was the first President of, the Catholic Youth Club in Dayton. Eight years later on September 26, 1953, he married Mildred Pekarcik of Youngstown, Ohio, at St. Joseph Church in Dayton. Leo, Millie and daughter, Amy, moved to Gle In 1995, Leo and Millie moved to Escondido to be closer to their grandchildren. Leo was an active member of The Church of St. Timothy, Knights of Columbus, the International Order of the Alhambra, and spent many hours on family genealogy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Leo's memory to the Alhambra Charity Fund, 4200 Leeds Ave., Baltimore, MD 91229-5496.
