Lawrence Loomer's Obituary
Lawrence "Larry" Loomer passed away peacefully on March 18, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born April 16, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. Larry was a longtime resident of Tucson, Arizona and lived the past several years in San Marcos, CA. He married Donna McGowan in 1947, she died in 1993. He married Yueh-Chai Lin in 1995.
Larry devoted his career to the automobile industry in Tucson and Larry had a passion for running that began in his mid 40's and never ended. He competed on 10k's, marathons and biathlons culminating in running the Carlsbad 500 at the age of 80. In earlier years, he could often be seen running in his t-shirt that read He was preceded in death by wife, Donna; son, Brian; and daughter, Michaeleen. He is survived by wife, Yueh-Chai; sister, Lynn (Patrick); children, Dianne (Joe), Lana (Guy), Kevin, Jill (Scott), Tracy, Sean; step daughters, Maria (Chris), Mei-Li (Dana); A service was held at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido on March 19, 2013. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Larry's name to the charity of your choice.
