Kenneth Allan Chapman's Obituary
Ken married Barbara Anne Lee in 1949 in Los Angeles. They settled in Pauma Valley in 1952 with their family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Leeayn and her husband Gary, Amanda and friend, Tracey; grandsons, Kirk and his wife Cassie, and Andy; granddaughters, Destiny and Mallory. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, serving in WWII as a radioman on the USS Cowpens - the first American ship to enter Tokyo Bay. The Cowpens was alongside the US Missouri during the signing of the peace treaty. Ken was a graduate of Los Angeles High School and received a Bachelors of Science in Citrus Crop Production from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. he became a Rancher and Real Estate Broker. Ken was a Charter Member and Past President of the Pauma Valley Lions Club, beginning in 1953. He was also an original member of the Pauma Valley Country Club.
