Kathryn Jean Grace's Obituary
Kathryn Jean Grace was born on August 26th, 1957, and passed away peacefully December 16th, 2021, after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Kathy was the beloved wife of Conan Grace for over 42 years. She was the loved daughter of Bob and the late Betty Rasmussen of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Dear sister of Jeff (Anita) Rasmussen, and Aunt to Jason (Holly and their sons Reid & Leighton)
Loving stepmother to Debra (the late Mike) Rousculp, the late Norrie Grace, Kristi (Vicki) Grace, Trent (Suzanne) Grace, Cort (Ronda) Grace. Cherished grandmother of Bill, Ashley, Jordan, Ryan, Corey, Ali, CJ, Kirstin, Cody, Kaylin, Cameron, Kira, and Kimberly. Proud great-grandmother of Mason, Lincoln Adalyn, Ella, Levi, Adeline, and Amelia.
Kathy was a beautiful kind woman with an infectious laugh that filled the room. She loved serving others, enjoyed leading Bible studies, and greeting at Gate City Church in Nashua, NH. This passion for others was demonstrated in her career; for thirty-plus years, Kathy was a successful insurance agent and financial planner for Mutual of Omaha and loved helping and developing friendships with her many clients. Kathy and Con loved entertaining friends and family at their home AKA “The Wilton Hilton.” From swing dancing, tennis, golf, skiing, and traveling the world, she made the most of every day and loved to be active. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandkids.
Kathy loved the Lord Jesus and looked forward to being reunited with Him. Although it is much sooner than we ever imagined, it is no surprise to the Lord, and we take joy in knowing she is with her Maker and reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die…” John 11:25-26
A small family gathering is planned for January 7th at 3:00 PM at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido, CA. A larger celebration of life will be scheduled for later in 2022 in New Hampshire.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
