Thomas Mcardle
I dated Kathy occasionally during the mid-1960s. I say occasionally because she was pursuing a master's degree at Baylor University in Texas and I was a Navy officer who spent a lot of time at sea, including 3 long cruises to Vietnam. We would get together when we both were in San Diego during the summer and during her Christmas vacations.
Kathy was an exceptional student at Cathedral Catholic Girls High School. In her senior year she was the student body president, the winner of the science contest, and also the winner of The Toastmasters speech award.
Kathy was also an exceptionally good swing dancer. At Baylor she had earned money working as a dancing Go Go girl. We parted ways after January 1966, but I retain nothing but fond memories of her.
