Kathleen Rose Lammers' Obituary
Kathleen Rose (Gessner) Lammers was born in Wabasha, Minnesota on April 8th, 1944 to Lloyd and Eleanor Gessner. The second oldest of seven children, Kathleen grew up on a dairy farm in Theilman MN. She graduated high school in Plainview, MN in 1962. She moved to Rochester, MN and was introduced to her husband of 44 years, Reginald T. Lammers.
They were married in 1964 and started a family with 3 children, Lawrence Lammers(San Diego), Laura Boyce (Chesterfield, MO), Daniel Lammers (San Diego).
In 1977, Kathleen and Reginald moved to San Diego, CA and in 1987, they permanently settled in Escondido CA.
Widowed in 2008, Kathleen was very active with her friends and volunteered her time at Birth Choice and at various local elementary schools in the area.
Kathleen especially enjoyed her grandchildren, Alyssa Lammers, Daniel Lammers, Kelly Boyce, Nicholas Lammers, Joseph Boyce, Chad Lammers and Sarah Lammers.
She enjoyed reading, walking, travel and a glass or two of chardonnay along with her friends.
She is proceeded in death by her Brother, Larry, her Father, Lloyd, her Mother, Eleanor and Husband, Reginald. Kathleen lost her life due to cancer on March 9, 2016. Her faith in God kept her strong through the end of her wonderful life. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and siblings; Mary Jane Mullenbach, Marjorie Johnson, Carol Kronebusch, Robert Gessner and Steven A Gessner.
Kathleen was a loving wife and mother. She was a devout and practicing Catholic her entire life. May she rest in eternal peace.
