Karola Elisabeth Paul's Obituary
Karola Elisabeth Loder Baron Paul was born in Weiz, Austria, to Franz and Christa Loder, on November 4th, 1943. In 1956, she came to the United States with her mother and sister, Angela. In 1959, she moved to California where she married her first husband, James Baron, in 1961. They had three children, Tony, Robert and Terese, and raised them in Simi Valley, Ca. They divorced in 1974. She moved to Escondido Ca in 1987. There, she married her second husband, Rick Paul, in 1991. They divorced in 2002.
Most of her professional career involved sales in industry, and horticulture. She retired in 2014.
Karola enjoyed many things in life: gardening, making a nice little habitat for birds in her yard, reading, reading, reading, crossword puzzles, music of all kinds, antiquing, shopping, wine, champagne, her Santa Claus collection, hosting gatherings, cooking, telling stories about Austria, her family and friends, and taking trips.
Karola died peacefully on November 14th, just after her 76th birthday. She was surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Franz Loder and Christa Watts, her first husband, James Baron, and her sons Tony and Robert Baron
She is survived by her daughter, Terese Hill, her sisters, Angela MacDiarmid and Elizabeth Forney, her brother Stephen Watts, her grandchildren, Dan Baron, Andrew Baron, Michael Baron, Colter Baron and Avery Hill, and her great-grandchildren, Cash, Charlotte and Cooper Baron.
