Karen Jo Marie Baker's Obituary
Beloved daughter of Christ, Karen Jo Marie “Bun” Baker, retired into the arms of our Lord on March 5, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1949 in Joliet, IL to Ruth and Joseph Badorski. She was a resident of Escondido, CA for the last 45 years. She married her true love, David Baker on May 4, 1968 in Joliet, Illinois. She spent her career as a medical secretary for over thirty years.
Her family and church were her two biggest passions. She graciously cared for and loved those she came into contact with. Karen was always an encouraging spirit, pointing everyone she met to Jesus and His love for them.
She is survived by Dave, her husband of 55 years, her three sons (Scott, Shawn and Chris), grandsons (Kai, Scotty and Logan), her sister (Debbie) and nieces, nephews, and many other family members. Family and friends are invited to St. Mary’s Catholic Church to celebrate her amazing life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Rosary at 9:30am, Mass at 10:00am with a reception to follow.
