Joseph Robert "Joe" Cascioppo's Obituary
Joseph Robert "Joe" Cascioppo passed away February 17, 2013, after a short illness. Joe's last days were surrounded by his family and friends. Joe is survived by his only son Michael Cascioppo of Escondido; his mother, Roberta Easton of Escondido; brothers, Charles Cascioppo of Boulder City, NV, and Tony Cascioppo of Vista, CA; his aunts Janice Brede of Payson, AZ, Rose Ashcraft of Del Mar, CA and his uncle Stephen Cascioppo of Poway, CA. Joe was a lifelong resident of Escondido, living nearly his entire life on the family property in Escondido. This property was originally owned by his grandparents, Joseph "Pepe" and Georgia Cascioppo. Joe graduated from Escondido High School in 1973, a While Joe was accomplished as a builder and engraver, his greatest gift was his ability to coach. Joe coached football and wrestling at San Pasqual High School. Joe was also the girls softball coach for both San Pasqual and Orange Glen High Schools, as It is well known that Joe was an accomplished builder and that he made a positive mark on the lives of youths while coaching and touched so many people. But Joe's greatest love was raising his son Michael. Joe committed his life to make sure Michael wou Memorial services for Joe will be held in October. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that anyone who wants to remember Joe to do so by contributing to the Escondido Youth Girls Softball League, PO Box 1208, Escondido 92033.
