Joseph John Doering's Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 60 years of marriage, Vivian; and by his children and families, Kathleen Sullivan-Doering and Richard Sullivan; Stephen, Lorraine and Jennifer Doering; George and JoEllen Doering; Susan Doering and Dieter Wulfhorst; and Michael and Mark Doering. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Doering and sister, Cyrilla Meier He was of German/Scottish-Irish heritage and born in Detroit, Michigan on February 18, 1928. Before too long, his family moved to Rock Island, Illinois, where he would spend his whole adolescent life. Joe was the middle child of three and always was har Joe had many jobs in the Aviation Field- McConnell Douglas; General Dynamics; and Teledyne-Ryan in San Diego, California. Before getting his pension, Teledyne-Ryan laid off many employees and Joe was one of them. It was at this time that he started his Joe had a vast love for family, music, animals; the Knights of Columbus, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He loved when his granddaughter, Jennifer, came over to visit. Joe had a couple of favorite nicknames; "Tomahawk Joe" and "The Pathfinder," plus ther A reception in Joe's honor will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Escondido following the Committal.
