Joseph A. Vevoda's Obituary
Joseph V. Vevoda, 88, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Joe was born on February 16, 1924 in Oakland, CA. He was raised in San Francisco and attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory School and later the University of San Francisco. During WW II, Joe served in the Merchant Marines. He married Joan Fitzgerald on May 5, 1951. Joe had a fulfilling 38 year career with Pfizer Pharmaceutical before his retirement. Joe loved baseball and volunteered as a Little League coach for many years. He was also an avid tennis player and runner. Joe was a member of the Church of St. Timoth He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters, Julie Vevoda Smith, Janice Vevoda, Cece (Monte) Bible, and Nancy (David) Rose; son, Timothy Vevoda; sister, Betty (Lloyd) King; brother, Ronald (Lyla) Vevoda; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Joe We will miss him always and love him forever.
