John Richard (Dick) Streng, 80, of Valley Center, CA died Monday, December 3, 2012 at home with his wife by his side. Dick was born February 13, 1932 in Marysville, OH to the late Peter G. and Martha B. Rausch Streng. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marysville. Dick was a 1950 graduate of Marysville High School. He enlisted He graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Public Administration. He married Evelyn B. Bell on April 6, 1963 in Carmel, CA. and appreciated 49 years of marriage. Dick enjoyed working outside and fixing things. He also was a great dancer and e Dick is survived by his wife Evelyn, his son and daughter-in-law Scott and Sara Streng and three grandchildren, Lilybell, Vivien and Evan of Sunbury, OH.; a sister, Lucille Dunbar of Ft. Wayne, IN., a brother, Eugene Streng of Columbus, OH, a sister-in-la In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Light of the Valley Lutheran Church or Interfaith Community services (interfaithservices.org).
