Rob and I met while attending Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA, studying computer programming. We became quick friends both in and outside of the classroom. One of my favorite memories with Rob was going to his house after school and on weekends where we built a custom home entertainment center for my house. We would usually drink a couple beers and occasionally enjoy a good cigar while we worked. Although we didn't get together often enough after he moved back to Washington, he still remained a very good friend to me and is already missed. Rob was always the one who came through everything, so it's hard to believe that he didn't come out on top this time too.

I was fortunate to have Rob as my Chief Pilot for the past 8 yrs. until he came off flight status. Our small flight department was/is a family. We never missed an opportunity to tie in a lunch when cleaning, stocking aircraft, office work & maintenance demands. Including Spouses when available, we shared birthdays and even Christmas dinner one year.
When Rob left flight status he never missed a beat with his Flight Department as we kept in touch frequently & finally got to celebrate his successful Lung Transplant with our Company and lunches to follow.
Rob- Your Flight Department misses you deeply, but you aren’t too far away from us. We fly as if you are still with us.

Rob and my husband shared flying planes and R/C ones. We were happy he came back to Washington and to be at your wedding. I’m so sorry his new lease on life was cut short. Hugs to Sara, Morgan and family. Mike and Sue Ardy
I did not have the pleasure of meeting Rob but am a long-time friend of Sara's and it made me very happy to see her happy. I enjoyed seeing her with an obvious wonderful partner. Sending blessings to your family. Kathy Sterling
