John J Liberatore's Obituary
John Liberatore, age 96, passed peacefully on February 4, 2022. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Benedetto Liberatore and Maria Gemma Collela, he was a first generation American. He served with honor in the US Navy until he retired in December 1961. He lived a long and happy life.
He is survived by his daughters Mary Sierpinski and husband Bob, Adele Duffy and husband Pat; grandchildren Laina Racine, Paul Sierpinski, Jessica Duffy Espiritu and Victoria Duffy; and great grandchildren Justin, Gabriel, Jackson and James.
Funeral Mass at 10am on Tuesday, March 1 at Church of the Resurrection, Escondido with viewing to follow 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, Escondido. Interment will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Miramar National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
