John Patrick Jackson's Obituary
John Patrick Jackson, 82, of Escondido, passed away on 9/13/14.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, 9/25/2014 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, 9/26/2014 at 10:00am at St. Stephens Catholic Church 31020 Cole Grade Rd, Valley Center, CA 92082. Fr. Lawrence Jackson of Sterling Heights, MI will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:30pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Alhiser-Comer Mortuary.
John was born in Detroit, MI on 8/17/32. He graduated from St Gertrudes High School and continued on to receive a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Detroit.
John was married to Mary Ellen McDonald on 11/24/57.
John was one of the founders of Management Analysis Company in San Diego CA. He enjoyed fishing, singing, and enjoying time with his family and friends. John was also actively involved in Catholic Charities, The Fellowship at Folsom Prison, President of the West Coast Division of the St Vincent De Paul and assisted in the construction engineering of St Stephens Catholic Church in Valley Center, CA
John is survived by his children: Dennis (Deborah) Jackson, Patti (Chuck) Nielsen, Peggy (Kevin) Longwell, Brian (Anahit) Jackson, Timothy (Andrea) Jackson and Matthew Jackson. He is survived by 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by Mary Ellen Jackson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Vincent De Paul Society 1005 S Escondido Blvd, Escondido, CA 92025.
