John Carl Heynen's Obituary
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of John Heynen, who passed on November 11th, at the Welks Resort in San Diego, CA. John was born in Stockton, CA. He lived there for most of his life and spent the majority of his free time with his dogs, reading books and volunteering for the Greyhounds. John served in the Navy at the U.S Naval Missile Center working with TACAN Navigation as a Radio Mechanic. He is survived by his son, Joey Calderone and daughter, Jamie Firat; 4 grandchildren, Tony, Avery, Eli and Allie; his nieces and nephew, cousins and many friends. John was a loving Father and Papa who will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
A service will be held at 12:15 pm December 19th at Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122. Meet at staging area #2.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to John’s charities of choice; Wounded Warriors Project, Disabled American Veterans, and Fishers House.
