Joan Eleanor Briscoe's Obituary
Joan Eleanor Briscoe was born January 4,1935 to Ed and Clara Holter in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Hamilton High in Los Angeles, California where she met John R. (Bob) Briscoe. She asked Bob, a senior, out on a date when she was a freshman as a dare to join a club.
They married January 26, 1952. She and Bob were married for 59 years until his passing in 2011. They raised seven children together.
Over the years, she enjoyed volleyball, softball, tennis, and golf. She was an avid quilter. Friends and family were the lucky recipients of her many quilts.
They moved to Pauma Valley 30 years ago after building their dream home. She was an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was thrilled when the new church building was completed.
She enjoyed her many friends and events in Pauma Valley. She loved her family and her Yorkshire Terrier, Pepper.
She is survived by her seven children, John, Christine, TJ, Michelle, Jeanette, Patrick, and Lorrie. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
