Lauren Siepelmeyer
Some of my favorite memories with Jerry were made right in our home. I always thought of him as my California dad, my Jer Bear, and I loved cooking for him. Making him my version of Daddy’s Goulash was honestly the most nerve wracking thing because I wanted so badly to make sure he liked it and that I did not mess it up!
Our traditional Thanksgiving with the three of us was something I looked forward to every year. I would wake up early to get the turkey prepped and in the oven, just waiting for Jerry to arrive so we could get the feast started. The best part was standing in the kitchen listening to him and Jason on the couch catching up, talking sports, and talking about the future. And of course, the dogs went wild every single time he walked up to the door, and then refused to let him leave by nipping at his heels when it was time to go.
There are so many moments with Jerry that I could go on and on, but overall, I am just so honored to have known him and to share the Siepelmeyer last name. He was a real fighter until the very end, and we are going to miss him so much.
