Jerold Roman Dunlap's Obituary
Jerold Roman Dunlap (89) was born on September 7th, 1931 in Pontiac, Michigan, the oldest son of Lawson and Violet Dunlap. He was one of four brothers.
He was a building contractor by trade and built his first house with his brother Elmer when he was 15.
He was a corporal in the United States Army and during the Koran War he was attached to the Air Force grading and maintaining airstrips.
He married Patricia Everitt in 1954 and they settled in San Diego. Together they had four children.
Jerold was always active in his church. He was a youth leader, taught Sunday School, was a leader in Sky Pilots and Royal Rangers, he served on the board, drove the church bus, and built Sunday School rooms.
In addition to being a licensed contractor and his regular volunteer work at church, he was a private pilot.
Jerold was a man of unwavering integrity, truth, and faith. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. And he was loved by God, his wife, his children, and his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife, Patricia, his daughters, Susan, Bonnie, and Jeri Lynn and their families, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Steven, and his brother Elmer.
Today he is in the arms of Jesus his Savior.
