Jennie LaSpesa D'Agosta's Obituary
Jennie was born to Frank and Girolama LaSpesa in St. Louis, MO. She moved with her family to San Diego when she was 12 years old.
Jennie graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego. She went to work at the Civic Center in downtown San Diego until her marriage on February 20, 1949 to Sid D'Agosta and moved to Escondido, CA. She worked at the family business in downtown Escondido, D'Agosta's Shoes, as a cashier and bookkeeper until her retirement in 1989. Jennie was a very loving and caring person. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Palomar Hospital and Gift Shop, and was very proud of all the hours she put in. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, The Broad Investors, and many other charit Jennie Loved to travel and went to Europe twice and traveled throughout the United States including Hawaii many times, and New York every year with her friends to see Broadway shows and shop. She even hiked down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon several Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister; Trina Ardaiz; and her brother, Frank LaSpesa, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Sid; her sister, Rosemary Lavra (George); her daughter, Lucy Hogan (Tom); granddaughter, Tammy Enriquez Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Elizabeth Hospice and Alzheimer's research.
