Jeanne Gary's Obituary
Jeanne Gary was born in Beattie, Kansas to parents William and Velma Dellenbach.
In 1935, at the height of the dust bowl, the family moved to California, settling in LaVerne. While attending Bonita High School, she met the love of her life, Owen Z. Gary, to whom she was married on June 21, 1942. The Gary's were married for 69 years until Mr Gary's death on June 5, 2011. When Mr. Gary was discharged from the Army after WWII, they settled in Vista where they lived for many years. In addition to Vista, the Gary's built homes in Escondido, Aguanga, and Hemet. Jeanne was proud of her many years working in the banking field, including at First National Bank in Vista, but her passion in life was dedicating herself to her family. She was a great wife and mother who loved her family unconditionally. She also enjo Jeanne is now in eternity surrounded by her parents, two brothers, and by her loving husband, Owen. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Gary) Bingham, and Scott Gary (Sue); grandchildren, Stephen Kossian, Bradley Gary (Andreya) and Matthew Gary. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jeanne's name to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
