Mom - Jean Urias
Jean was born along with her twin brother John in Baker, Montana on 10-23-1934 to Mayme and Robert Norman and was one of twelve brothers and sisters.
When Jean was 5 years old the family moved to Vancouver, Washington. She graduated from Vancouver High School in 1953.
After completing high school she joined the US Navy – achieving the rate of 3rd Class Petty Officer and was stationed for duty at the recruit training center in San Diego where she served from 1953 to 1956.
While in service in San Diego she met Rick, the love of her life, and they were married in 1957 and on April 20th of 2017 they celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Jean is survived by her husband Rick Urias who also served in the US Navy as a 1st class Petty officer, including two tours in the Korean War.

Rick (Debbie), Michael (Debbie), David, Julie, Susan, and Janine (Scott)
She has 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
The family lived in San Diego, San Jose, and moved to Escondido in 1969
She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Escondido in 1975
She was devoted to her family & friends caring throughout the years for several grandchildren on a daily basis. Most recently caring for the children of her extended family- the Erlers. All adored her!
She had a heart of gold. She loved, cared, and touched so many people. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family to lifelong friends and anyone in need. Time and time again she welcomed and nurtured others. She will be dearly missed by all.
