I met Miss Jean 14 years ago at Infusion Church. I loved her sense of humor and we both shared a love for singing. I always enjoyed talking to her at church. She taught my oldest two piano and then we moved to a different home in Escondido and lost touch for a couple years. Seven years ago, I bumped into her at Jimbo’s while she was getting dinner and we reconnected. She gave me her card. She began teaching my third born daughter piano at that time in our home. My daughter learned so much from Miss Jean and I loved the time that we shared when she came over to our house to teach piano. She was such a gift and a dear friend to me. We were able to do a few lessons with her at her living facility but lost touch when her phone changed. I’ll never forget the way that Miss Jean loved people, loved getting her hair done, and loved sharing stories about singing and traveling with her husband. I heard all about her children and grandchildren as well as her sweet sister that took great care of her. I’m so grateful for the years that I was blessed to have Miss Jean in my life. I know I will see her in Heaven one day! I’m sure she will be playing the piano and directing the choir!
