Jane Ann Comins Valdez's Obituary
Jane Ann Comins Valdez was born June 08, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, and entered peacefully into rest on December 01, 2024.
She moved to Poway, California, in 1977 and later resided in Escondido. Jane retired from waitressing in 1993 after 17 years at the El Comal Restaurant in Poway and was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas C. Taylor, and her husband, Mike O. Valdez.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Linda Homan of Escondido, and Nancy Temelko and her husband John of Harrison, Michigan. She also leaves behind her stepdaughters, Rose Marie Thompson, Juliet Jacob and her husband Oliver, and stepson Blair Valdez, along with her niece Becky Cruz. Additionally, she had 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2024, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary Chapel, 225 S. Broadway, Escondido, CA. Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m., Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. and committal service to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Rd., Escondido, CA.
