James K Meehan's Obituary
Mr. Meehan was preceded in death by his daughter, Analyn Meehan Mann, and his sister, Elizabeth (Beth) Maynard. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beth: son and daughter-in-law Brian and Susan; stepsons Ernest Waterman and Stephen Waterman; stepdaughter Jacqueline Waterman McLoughlin; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a graduate of Hoover High School and received a bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State College in 1948. He worked as a senior civil engineer for the city of San Diego for 34 years overseeing the design and planning of major thoroughfares in urban areas of San Diego. He was an active participant and past president of the Meadows Homes Association.
