James Richard Schwarz's Obituary
James (Jim) Schwarz died suddenly from a heart attack on January 1, while bicycling with his beloved wife Lee.
Jim is survived by his wife/life-partner/soulmate Lee Marzano Schwarz of 27 years, his father Richard Schwarz of Beaufort, SC, his brother Jeffrey Schwarz of Fredrick, CO, sisters Lori Stagnitto of New Hope, PA, and Ameigh Schwarz of Richmond, VA/Crete, Greece. Jim is predeceased by his mother Geraldine Schwarz. Jim spent his childhood in Charlestown, WV, Stenungsund, Sweden and Bridgewater NJ and his adult life in Wantage, NJ and Valley Center, CA.
Those who knew Jim know that he was passionate about shelter animals. He and Lee adopted many cats but it was Andi the little “unadoptable” dog that he rescued years ago, who won his heart. Adopting Andi was the best Valentine’s gift that Lee ever received.
Jim loved bicycling with Lee and their friends, working outside on their property, and was passionate about learning how to build and fix things.
He and Lee loved to travel the world and recently spent time on the Amalfi Coast, Italy with his sister Ameigh, and had just returned from visiting his family over the holidays.
Jim graduated from the University of Delaware with an accounting degree. He was also captain of the golf team and an expert skier. Jim excelled at his career with Sony and National Pen where he was Vice President of IT. He will be greatly missed by his team and colleagues.
Jim will be remembered as a man with a great sense of humor delivered with a big handsome smile. Someone who was just so nice, so easy going, so compassionate. He loved his wife Lee more than anything in the world –he always said “I love you more” when she said “I love you.”
If you would like to honor his life and his compassion for adopting shelter animals, please send donations to the San Diego Humane Society using this link: https://secure.sdhumane.org/site/Donation2;jsessionid=00000000.app20071a?df_id=21351&21351.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T&NONCE_TOKEN=F49F3EDAC88DD928CD5C825C2E0C7DAB
