Ignacio Escalante's Obituary
Ignacio was preceded in death by his brother, Manuel Escalante; his sisters, Amparo and Sofia Escalante; and his son, Kenneth Bryan Escalante. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Escalante; his son and daughters-in-law, James and Julie Escalante, and Alicia Escalante; and his daughters, Renee and Robin Escalante. He had 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ignacio was born to Martin and Librada Escalante in Thornton, Texas. When Ignacio was a young boy, his family packed up the pick up truck, complete with pots and pans hanging on the sides and moved the family to Escondido, CA where the marjoity of the ex He attended grade shool in Escondido but had to drop out of school in the 8th grade to go to work to help support his family. While he did not have upper class education, Ignacio was a voracious reader, extremely intelligent and always found a way to fix After proudly serving in the Army during the Korean War, he began working in the construction industry. He had over 34 years working in the construction industry and was a member of the Local 89. He worked with Einer Brothers Construction the majority o The Escalante family wishes to thank the Elizabeth Hospice nurses and staff for their tremendous and loving car.
